ARTHUR Turner was this year's happy winner of the Governor's Cup, one of the most prestigious races competed for at the Stanley Sports Association Race Meeting held on Boxing Day and December 27.
Arthur took the race on Dashing Dancer with Tim Bonner in second place on Zafonic. Owen Summers took third place and in fourth was young Duane Evans on Royal Charger.
Tim Bonner picked up first on Venus in the Maiden Plate, the race in which only horses that have never competed before may enter. Denise McPhee was second on Red Dawn, Duane Evans third on Royal Charger and Owen Summers fourth on Dettori.
