GOOD weather brought a large crowd to view the annual New Year's Day raft race held in Stanley harbour on Sunday
Organiser and race starter, Ken Newton said that although there was one less entry than last year, he was very pleased with the way the race had gone
The race, organised by the Sea Cadets was won by a military crew (as yet unidentified by the organisers) with second place taken by the 2nd Battalion Royal Scots.
Winner of the 'traditional raft' category was PWD's 'No Hope', a very smart mono-hull raft with out-riggers captained by Peter Crowie.
