JENNY Luxton and Michelle Pepper from Falkland Islands Holidays attended Experience Latin America in London earlier this month.
Falkland Islands Holidays had back to back meetings with an average of eleven scheduled meetings per day, explained Jenny, however more unscheduled meetings were held at coffee breaks and over lunch as well as the networking events in the evening.
She said: “We are delighted that Falkland Islands Holidays are able to attend ELA and promote and grow business to the Falkland Islands.”
She explained that concerns from potential companies wanting to add the Falkland Islands to their portfolio, involved not being able to take larger groups due to limited bed space in camp locations and availability of flights and seats to allow flexibility of travel.
“As a new product this year we promoted Kelper Tours in exploring the West Falklands and our new one week compass tour promoting Bleaker Island and Pebble Island, along with Darwin and Stanley.
“Again, we are always looking for new products to sell, so if you provide a tourist service and have a new service or facility then let us know and we will promote and sell it for you.”
This was the third year of Europe's exclusive invitation only travel trade event, which is organised by the Latin American Travel Association (LATA) and is held in Canary Wharf, London.
It aims to bring together key suppliers from Latin America with influential buyers from the UK and Europe.
