KATE Stenning (14) is the artist behind the logo that will grace lapel pins, clothing, posters and other promotional material over the 30th anniversary year of the liberation of the Falkland Islands from Argentine occupation.

A spokesperson for the Falkland Islands Government said, "With the emphasis to bring together history and the future, the 2012 Committee offered FICS students an opportunity to competitively promote a logo design concept to be adopted for the 30th Anniversary Year. The design competition was launched by 2012 Committee Chairman Lewis Clifton, and SAMA FI Chairman Gary Clement. The symbol (left) is the result of the winning concept designed by Kate Stenning with final design and artwork by Julie Halliday from Studio 52."
