Thursday, 30 May 2013A PENALTY was conceded to Flyers two minutes in to the first match on Tuesday when Hurricanes' Goalie Stuey Duncan was caught outside of his area. Gordon Lennie took the shot but Stuey blocked well.

Fumbles and falls in Sunday Dek Hockey
Thursday, 23 May 2013BLACKHAWK Karl Nightingale slammed in the first goal of the night against Penguins a couple of minutes in to the game on Sunday but Penguin Ricky Leyton was hot on his tail to level the score. Karl pushed Blackhawks into the lead briefly but the score was levelled again by Duane Evans slipping a goal in between Goalie Rodrigo Vasquez's legs. Kyran Evans pressed Penguins into the lead 30 seconds later and the teams stopped with the half-time score in favour of Penguins.

Golf: Bowles, Bowles and Ross battle for the Stanley Open

TWENTY four golfers took to the field on Saturday to contest the Consultancy Services sponsored Stanley Open. A strong south westerly wind challenged the players for two thirds of their rounds but the wind dropped and players completed their rounds in a gentle breeze and warm sunshine.

Golf: White Rock win for Wayne
